High-Performance SILCARAPID® 850CB Calcium Silicate Board for Modern Fireplace Builds

The SILCARAPID® 850CB Construction Board is certified non-combustible and meets TR-OL and DIN EN 14306 requirements. Installers can use standard woodworking tools, which makes each step of the process smoother. The lightweight boards allow precise cutting, easy shaping and fast assembly. Stainless steel or phosphated screws, nails or staples work best for secure fixing. Thanks to the minimal thickness and large format, intricate fireplace cladding designs become both achievable and efficient.

Complementary components such as SILCARAPID® stripes, SILCACON primer HFS, putty filler and painting plaster allow full system customisation. The back surface features a moulded skin, supporting additional finish options like ceramic tiles or natural stone. This flexibility ensures the system adapts well to varied design preferences. Installers can also pre-assemble elements in the workshop, reducing on-site labour and improving workflow.

The system works seamlessly with SILCA® 250KM insulation and SILCAHEAT® 600C boards. Produced mainly from lime and sand, the material is physiologically harmless and environmentally responsible.
