Heating with wood

Burning wood is environmental

Wood is energy that constantly grows back and is available in the cycle of nature without disadvantages for the environment. During the combustion of wood CO2 is released into the atmosphere as much as it has previously stored in a tree.

Nevertheless, there are a few points that must be observed during the combustion of this biomass: e.g. all types of wood should be protected against moisture for about 2-3 years and must be stored in a well ventilated surrounding before being used in the stove.

Requirement for a good fire is the amount of combustion air. Therefore, the fire should always be given an excess of air for a good combustion. We will explain in detail how to properly heat with wood in our brochure „The basics of starting a fire“.
